Because of a global nursing shortage and a higher demand for nursing services, healthcare organizations are faced with staffing dilemmas that are reaching crisis levels in certain places. The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, reports that Canada, the Philippines, Australia, and Western Europe are reporting significant nursing shortages. Reports of shortages are also coming from Africa and South America.

Nurses jobs are now becoming one of the most promising international jobs. In UK more than 15,000 qualified nurses travel to UK to work every year. Despite the challenging job in medical institutions, nursing job is a well rewarded job. The salary range is £17,000 – £30,000 depends on the skill grade of the nurse. Private hospital even has a better salary for nurses.

The high cost of living in London will not be a problem because a £4,000 will be paid as additional allowance. The international recruitment has already set as strategy in UK to meet the high demand of nurses during the expansion of health service all over the country.

To get the work visa in UK, the candidates need to get sponsorship from the hiring hospitals or other health center institutions. Nurses jobs in UK are required certain qualification in education and experience standardized by Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of UK. The candidates also have to be registered in this regulatory body with a prior assessment for nurses trained in outside European Economic Area.
