Elizabeth Rehnke – The Philanthropist’s Medical Mission
Elizabeth Rehnke is the daughter of Dr. Ernest Rehnke. He was awarded the distinguished surgeon award in the year 1999. He was a very kind person, who strongly believed in humanity, which was followed by his 11 year old daughter too. The award was received by Liz on behalf of her father. She took the honor of speaking about their medical mission, traveling experience and the culture of poor nations. She also spoke about the doctors, who used their skills in curing the people in these regions.
Childhood Of Liz Rehnke with Medical Mission
Dr. Rehnke dedicated his entire life in helping the people of backward regions of Africa. He participated in five different medical missions to help the needy people in the neighboring countries of Africa. He also attended humanitarian mission assisted by his daughter Liz Rehnke. The humanitarian missions were conducted in Honduras, Ecuador, Haiti and twice in Guatemala. Liz actively took part as an assistant nurse to her father. She was just 11 years old. A lot of qualities were imbibed in her from the childhood. The services rendered by little Liz in medical mission are as follows:
- Providing medical aids to hospitals and clinic
- Training the local people of backward nations to perform basic duties of nurse.
- Re-arranging the medical staff, which are either understaffed or with over work load.
- Supporting various sanitation and water purification works with hygiene.
- Actively participating in the relief program in the backward regions of Africa that were hit by famine.
- Educating the poor people on health, cleanliness and hygiene.
Mission Of Elizabeth Rehnke For Providing Employment
Liz learnt about the different cultures and places by traveling with her father to backward regions of Africa. Their main aim was to help the neglected poor nations by improving their life style and health issues in terms of being hygiene.
Additionally, Dr. Rehnke and his team established small clinics and provided employment to local people by providing minimum salary. The health workers basically worked in his clinic, but sometimes finding the volunteers was difficult. So Liz and her father personally spent many months in volunteering medical missions.
For the medical mission Liz successfully collected charity from various social service organizations, NGO’s and many other sources. Elizabeth Rehnke is a gold hearted philanthropist, who helped many poor nations to fight against poverty by rendering personal services in medical care.
